My name is Emma, and I was born with Hypophosphatasia
I’m 15 and I’ve had 13 operations and over 82 casts on my arms and legs.
I got my right leg paralyzed when I was in 4th grade, but I worked my ass off in therapy to get the feeling back into it again.
I’ve been wheelchair bound most of my life.
I had to be put on steroids half of my life to make my muscles stronger, even though it made me overweight.
I have one full grown kidney and the other is the size of an infants
My left ankle is made entirely out of metal plates and screws
My arm and thigh bones are bowed/curved, not straight
I have dimples all over my arms and legs due to broken bones
I have a total of over 20-30 scars all over each of my legs together.
I wasn’t supposed to live past puberty
